Special Issues

Crítica welcomes proposals for special issues on topics of philosophical relevance to contemporary debates within the analytic tradition broadly understood.

Each special issue must have one or more Guest Editors, who are responsible for:

Formulating the topic of the special issue,

Selecting some invited contributions from scholars with a recognized research record,

Designing an international call for papers, and

Coordinating the peer-review process in accordance with Crítica's editorial guidelines.

Guest Editors are expected to distribute the call for papers in English and/or Spanish through platforms such as PHILOS-L, PhilEvents, and other relevant channels. Crítica also assists with the distribution of the call through its mailing lists and social media accounts.

A typical special issue includes six to eight articles, and it is strongly recommended that at least 50% of these be selected through the international call for papers.

Guest Editors may not contribute articles to the special issue. However, they are welcome to write Preface or an Introduction, which will be reviewed by members of Crítica’s Editorial Board.

Once the selection process is complete, the Editorial Board of Crítica will review the entire special issue and reserves the right to approve, reject, or request revisions to any of the contributions. The Editorial Board will support Guest Editors throughout the editorial process.
