La teoría proposicional y la percepción como logro cognitivo

Resumen
Kalpokas afirma que nuestras experiencias perceptuales poseen una clase única de contenido proposicional —conceptual y dependiente del mundo— capaz de justificar creencias sin caer en el Mito de lo Dado. Discutiré tres tesis constitutivas de su teoría. Primero, que la referencia consciente a objetos es siempre conceptual y requiere la representación de estados de cosas. Segundo, que la completitud amodal también es conceptual y necesita conocimiento de trasfondo. Tercero, que los conceptos penetran las experiencias y sus contenidos. Presentaré consideraciones exegéticas, teóricas y empíricas orientadas a cuestionar y limitar el alcance de estas tesis, y sugeriré que Kalpokas transita precipitadamente de una propuesta epistemológica a una metafísica respecto de la clase de contenidos admisibles en nuestras experiencias.
